Privacy Policy سياسة الخصوصية

Last updated 7 August 2026

Setting up a company means handing over some genuinely sensitive paperwork — passports, identity documents, proof of funds. We don't take that lightly. This page explains, in plain language, what Tafeel collects, why we need it, who we pass it to, and the control you keep over it.

1 Who we are

Tafeel is a business services consultancy based in the United Arab Emirates. We help entrepreneurs and companies register businesses, obtain licences and visas, open bank accounts and stay compliant.

Whenever this policy says "we", "us" or "our", it means Tafeel. Because our work involves submitting your documents to government departments and banks on your behalf, handling personal data carefully is central to what we do — not an afterthought.

2 The information we collect

Most of what we hold is information you give us directly, either when you enquire or once you become a client and we start preparing your application.

  • Contact details — your name, email address, phone number and the country you're enquiring from.
  • Identity documents — passport copies, national ID, Emirates ID, photographs and visa pages, where an application requires them.
  • Company information — proposed trade names, business activities, shareholding structure, existing licences and corporate documents.
  • Compliance information — the background details banks and authorities ask for, such as your business profile and source of funds.
  • Correspondence — the messages, forms and documents you send us, so we have a record of what was agreed and submitted.

We also collect a small amount of technical information automatically when you browse this website — things like your approximate location, browser type and which pages you viewed. That side of things is covered in more detail in our Cookie Policy.

3 Why we use your information

We only use your information for reasons connected to the service you've asked us for. In practice that means:

  • Answering your enquiry and preparing a quote or recommendation.
  • Completing and submitting applications to licensing authorities, immigration and other government bodies.
  • Introducing you to banks and supporting your account-opening application.
  • Meeting our own legal, tax and anti-money-laundering obligations.
  • Keeping you updated on the progress of your application, and reminding you when renewals fall due.

If we ever want to use your details for something outside this — general marketing, for example — we'll ask you first, and you can say no without it affecting your service.

4 Who we share your information with

We do not sell your data. We share it only where it's necessary to actually deliver what you've hired us to do, and only with parties who need it:

  • Government and licensing authorities — economic departments, free zone authorities, immigration and other regulators handling your application.
  • Banks and financial institutions — where you've asked us to support a corporate account application.
  • Trusted service providers — such as typing centres, translators, attestation services and medical testing facilities involved in your case.
  • Professional advisers — auditors or legal counsel, where we're required to seek advice.

We may also disclose information where the law obliges us to. Beyond these situations, your documents stay with us.

5 How long we keep your information

We hold your information for as long as you're a client, and for a period afterwards where record-keeping rules require it — UAE regulations oblige us to retain certain client and compliance records even after an engagement ends.

When information is no longer needed for a service or legal reason, we delete it or remove the details that identify you.

6 Keeping your information secure

Access to client files is limited to the people working on your case. We use access controls on our systems, secure channels for sharing documents, and confidentiality obligations for our staff.

We should be honest, though: no method of storing or transmitting information is completely immune to risk. What we can commit to is taking sensible precautions, and telling you promptly if something goes wrong that affects your data.

7 Your choices and rights

The information is yours, and you can ask us what we're doing with it at any time. Specifically, you can ask us to:

  • Show you a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correct anything that's wrong or out of date.
  • Delete information we no longer have a legal or contractual reason to keep.
  • Stop sending you updates or marketing messages.

Just email us using the details at the bottom of this page. One practical caveat: if a request would prevent us from completing an application already lodged with an authority, or would breach a record-keeping rule we're bound by, we'll explain that to you rather than quietly ignore it.

8 Sending information outside the UAE

Some of our clients, partners and software providers sit outside the UAE, so your information may occasionally be handled in another country. Where that happens, we take care to work with providers who apply a comparable standard of protection to our own.

9 Children's information

Our services are aimed at businesses and adults. We don't knowingly gather information from children through this website.

We do sometimes process details about a client's children — for instance when sponsoring family residency visas. In those cases the information comes from the sponsoring parent or guardian and is used purely to complete that application.

10 Changes to this policy

As our services and the regulations around them evolve, this policy will change too. The date at the top of the page always tells you when it was last revised, and the current version is the one that applies.

Questions about this policy?

If anything here is unclear, or you'd like to exercise any of the rights described above, please get in touch with the Tafeel team — we're happy to explain.
